I qualify as an old Asian hand, after 10+ years in Japan & round North Asia. Military: US Army Signal Corps; Vietnam & Desert Storm vet; retired as a a Colonel (USAR)from US Special Operations Command. Final assignment: Chief, Host Nation Support, Joint Chiefs of Staff, handling Y2K global issues. Now on third career, this time with US Government, Dept. of Treasury, building Web sites and other communications tools.
